I'll be the first to lay down them hard earned shekels - I insist on an autographed version, so I'll send both book and large crayon...
Hard earned shekels...who do you think will believe that? Everyone knows that your vast fortune came from selling a brownlined carp stuffed with newspaper to the Getty museum as a poorly-preserved coelacanth.
It better be a very large crayon.
Reed!
I am delighted! I am looking forward to reading your new book! Bobby
Bobby,
And I am looking forward to your response to the book. IMO, curmudgeons make the best, or at least the most interesting, critics, e.g., the Muppetts Show. : ) Warm regards, Reed
Reed,
Congratulations on the book! I am itching to order it right now! This is going to be the book that finally helps me solve this catching fish problem. I've always thought my failure to catch fish was due to sloppy casting, poor observation skills, susceptibility to the distractions of pipe tobacco and/or pure bad luck. Now I know it's because I haven't been UV Aware! Thanks Reed! Hmmm...UV Aware = UVA? My sunglasses say they block 100% UVA...I wonder if that's been my problem all along? Take care, Nathan
Nathan,
Yes, your problem must be UVA. At least that is now my excuse. Never again will the fish chortling behind their fins at my casting bother me; I now will force them to accept my fly no matter how badly delivered. Have a great trip to the West! Take care, Reed
I feel smarter after reading this book, but I still don't think I am as smart as a trout after how you describe them in the book.
I really like your writing, nice photos, and the humorous art sprinkled throughout the book. I am really glad I bought this book, thanks.
Gordon,
Thanks for the kind words. If you can enjoy your fishing just a bit more by appreciating the visual advantages of your quarry, the book is a success. Warm regards, Reed |
